Cruise Control: Description and Operation
This system in not interchangeable with the Renix system used on earlier vehicles. The system can be recognized by lowering the cruise control module from the left kick panel. The Hella module is clearly identified.The Hella Cruise Control system is composed of three control groups; the vacuum pump, venting safety solenoid and diaphragm which controls throttle linkage. The electronic control consists of the electronic cruise control module and engine overspeed relay. The safety control is composed of the master instrument panel switch, switches on the steering wheel and brake, clutch switches.
