Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect sensor electrical connector.
2. Place a suitable thermometer in air filter intake, then measure resistance of sensor across terminals as follows:
a. With ambient temperature at 32°F, resistance should be 254---266 ohms.
b. With ambient temperature at 68°F, resistance should be 283---297 ohms.
c. With ambient temperature at 104°F, resistance should be 315---329 ohms.
3. If resistance values are not as specified, replace sensor.
