The Paris-Rhone alternator features a solid state built-in regulator that is available in two output capacities. These alternators are available in 60 amp and 70 amp ratings. All regulator components are enclosed in a solid mold with no need or provision for adjustment of the regulator. A rectifier bridge changes A.C. voltage to D.C. voltage which is available at the output terminal.
The alternator warning lamp is mounted on the instrument panel and illuminates when the ignition switch is turned on and goes out after the engine starts. If the lamp remains on or illuminates while the engine is running, a charging system malfunction is indicated.
