Cooling System: Service and Repair

1. Ensure all hose connections are secure.
2. Open cooling system bleed screws located at upper radiator hose and heater core inlet hose. On models with automatic transaxle, a bleed screw is also located in the oil cooler upper coolant hose.
3. Add coolant through expansion tank until a steady stream of coolant is emitted from the bleed screws.
4. Close bleed screws, then start engine and operate at 1500 RPM.
5. Check level in expansion tank and add coolant as necessary to bring to maximum level.
6. Install pressure cap on expansion tank and operate engine until cooling operates.
7. Check level in expansion tank and add coolant as necessary.
