Input test should be performed when the speed control system cannot be set, but necessary to check if the signals are normal when system malfunctions.
1. Connect a voltmeter between ground and auto-cruise control terminal of diagnosis harness connector, located on lower left side of instrument panel.
2. Turn ignition key to On position, then check No. 1 and 3 of input check table.
3. Start engine, check table No. 4 and 5 of the input check table.
4. Turn the Set switch to On position while holding Resume switch On. This procedure enables the display of the input check results.
5. Perform each input operation according to input check table then read codes. Each code will be displayed in order of priority, beginning with check No. 1. If there is no display, a possible malfunction of the ECU power supply. Check using circuit tests.
