B1 - SUMMIT

There have been two (2) changes made in the KM200 Series transaxles to prevent double engagement. These changes were effective in July, 1988.

The interlock plunger groove in the 3rd-4th shift rail (4 and 5 speed transaxles) and the 5th-reverse shift rail (5 speed transaxle) have a 30~ chamfer. Figure 1.

The spring force in the restrict ball unit has been increased to provide greater ball pushing force. Figure 2.

NOTE: THESE COMPONENTS CAN BE USED IN EARLIER BUILT KM200 SERIES TRANSAXLES.
