SYMPTOM/CONDITION
The upper rear area of the front door trim becomes loose and pulls away from the inner door panel. The trim panel has been redesigned and put into production 07-12-88.

Duct Tape (NPN)
REPAIR PROCEDURE
The following procedure outlines the repair of the rear area of the upper trim panel.
1. Lower the front door glass.
2. Pull upward on rear and center area of upper trim panel to disengage from the inner panel.
NOTE: IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE FRONT UPPER TRIM END (FIGURE 1 BELOW).

3. Apply a piece of duct tape (30 x 50 mm) to the two positions on the door inner panel in the area where the trim panel clips attach (Figure 2).
4. Install the upper door trim on the door inner panel by pulling it upward and striking the trim by hand to fully seat the clips over duct tape.
