When cruise control malfunction occurs, all vacuum lines and electrical connections should be checked first before any before any repairs are made.
The Cruise Control Module calibration is preset by the manufacturer. If all vacuum lines, electrical connections and components are in good working order and system still does not function, it can be determined if the module is functioning using the following procedure.
1. Using a screwdriver, carefully turn the adjusting screw to the 10 O'clock position. The adjuster has a turning limit of 3/4 turn. Do not press hard or turn adjuster hard against stops.
2. If this adjustment has no effect on cruise control operation, replace the cruise control module.
