Step 2. Engine Removal From Transaxle & Cradle
ENGINE REMOVAL FROM TRANSAXLE1. Support the transaxle with brackets supplied with cradle dolly.
2. Attach an overhead crane or engine lift to the lift brackets on the cylinder heads.
3. Loosen the engine mount to cradle stud nuts.
4. Remove the starter motor.

5. Remove the access cover bolt.
6. Remove torque converter bolts one at a time. Rotate engine until all bolts are removed.
7. Remove transaxle road speed sensor.

8. Disconnect transaxle oil cooler hoses.m
9. Disconnect the transmission kick-down cable at the throttle body.

10. Remove the top transaxle mounting bolts and the lower nuts from the aligning studs.
11. Remove the engine from the transaxle.
