Excessive Delay Of More Than 30 Seconds Or Inadequate Variation In Delay

1. Verify wiper delay as follows:
a. Minimum delay should be at intervals of 1.5 to 2 seconds.
b. Maximum delay should be at intervals of 10 to 30 seconds.
2. If wiper verification is not as specified, refer to INTERMITTENT WIPER SWITCH TEST.

In Delay Mode Wipers Run Continually When Wash Is Operated But Do Not Provide An Extra Wipe When The Wash Control Is Released

Replace the control unit.

Wipers Start Erratically During Delay Mode

1. Verify that motor ground strap is making good contact and that motor mounting bolts are tight.
2. Verify that wiring ground connections for intermittent wipe control unit and that wiper switch are tight.
3. If condition in not corrected, replace control unit.
