SYMPTOM/CONDITION

Automatic seat belt makes a "clunking" sound when the seat belt mechanism stops in the full forward position.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

This "clunking" noise may be caused by a missing or damaged rubber stopper at the forward travel limiter on the automatic seat belt system. If the stopper is damaged or missing, it should be replaced with the new service part listed above. See Figure 1.
