NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 1.8L ENGINE.


MODELS:

1989-1992 (BD) Laser/Talon


SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Some vehicles built prior to January 28, 1992 may exhibit a noise/exhaust leak from the center exhaust pipe at the sub-muffler. This condition may be corrected by replacing the center exhaust pipe with a revised center exhaust pipe.


PARTS REQUIRED:

1 Center Exhaust Pipe MB906622


NOTE:
THE REVISED CENTER EXHAUST PIPE DOES NOT HAVE A SUBMUFFLER AND IS INTERCHANGEABLE WITH THE EARLIER STYLE.


REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This repair involves replacing the center exhaust pipe with a revised pipe.

1. Remove the center exhaust pipe as outlined in the appropriate service manual.

2. Install the revised exhaust pipe (PN MB906622).
