Fig. 82 Stop Lamp Switch Circuit:
1. Disconnect 6-way connector at stop lamp switch.
2. Using an ohmmeter, and with brake pedal released, continuity should be present between switch terminals as follows:
a. Between terminals 1 and 4.
b. Between terminals 3 and 6.
3. No continuity should exists between switch terminals 2 and 5 with brake pedal released.
4. With brake pedal depressed, continuity should not be present between switch terminals as follows:
a. Between terminals 1 and 4.
b. Between terminals 3 and 6.
5. Continuity should exists with brake pedal depressed between switch terminals 2 and 5.
6. If continuity tests are not as specified, replace stop lamp switch.
