Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Description and Operation

Air Temperature Sensor Circuit:

Purpose
The ECU modifies fuel injection duration according to the intake air temperature signal.

Operation
The Intake Air Temperature Sensor is a thermistor which measures intake air temperature as a resistance value.
- The resistance of the sensor increases as temperature decreases.

Location
The intake air temperature sensor is located on the Air Flow Sensor (AFS).
