BACKGROUND
- If a misfiring occurs while the engine is running, the engine speed suddenly changes.
- The engine control module checks for changes in the engine speed.

RANGE OF CHECK & SET CONDITIONS
- There are multiple cylinders for which the number of misfires for every 200 RPM's of the engine exceeds the specified number.
- There are multiple cylinders for which the number of misfires for every 1,000 RPM's of the engine exceeds the specified number.

No Limp-in

PROBABLE CAUSES
- Ignition system related part(s) failed.
- Poor crankshaft position sensor signal.
- Incorrect air/fuel ratio.
- Low compression pressure.
- Engine control module failed.
