Evaporative Emission Control Vent Control Malfunction (CA. FWD)

BACKGROUND
- The engine control module checks current flows in the evaporative emission vent solenoid drive circuit when the solenoid is ON and OFF.

RANGE OF CHECK, SET CONDITIONS
Even though the evaporative emission vent solenoid is ON, current does not flow to the coil for 4 seconds. Even though the evaporative emission vent solenoid is OFF, current does flows to the coil for 4 seconds.

EFFECT
No Limp-in mode.

PROBABLE CAUSES
- Evaporative emission vent solenoid failed.
- Open or shorted evaporative emission vent solenoid circuit, or loose connector.
- Engine control module failed.
