BACKGROUND
- When the generator field current is controlled, the generator FR terminal inputs a signal to the engine control module.
- The engine control module detects the generator output with the input signal, and controls the idle air control motor according to the generator output.

RANGE OF CHECK & SET CONDITIONS
The generator FR terminal signal voltage remains high for approximately 20 seconds while the engine is running.

EFFECT
No limp-in

PROBABLE CAUSES
- Open circuit in generator FR terminal circuit.
- Engine control module failed.
