Engine: Service and Repair
NOTE: On Air Bag Equipped Models, Refer To Air Bag System Precautions For System Disarming & Arming Procedures.NOTE: Prior To Performing Any Service Operations Listed, Consult The Technical Service Bulletins Section For Related Information.
ENGINE REPLACE
1. Relieve fuel system pressure as outlined under Service Precautions.
2. Mark hood hinge location on hood, then remove hood.
3. Remove engine undercover.
4. Drain engine coolant.

6. Remove engine in numbered sequence shown parts 1 and 2, noting following:
a. Without disconnecting its hydraulic lines, remove power steering pump from its mounting bracket and support pump aside.
b. On models equipped with A/C, let refrigerant lines remain connected, then remove compressor from its mounting bracket and carefully suspend it where it will not be a hindrance
c. Remove engine mount bracket as described under Engine Mount, Replace.
d. Ensure all hoses, cables, harness connections are disconnected.
e. Remove center member mounting bolt as described under Engine Mount, Replace.
7. Reverse procedure to install, ensure not to pinch any cables, hoses, pipes or harnesses.
