Drum Brake System: Service and Repair

Rear Drum Brake Shoe Components Removal:

REMOVAL
1. Loosen parking brake cable adjusting nut.
2. Drain the brake fluid.
3. Remove components as outlined in above image.





2. Use an flat-tipped screwdriver or the like to open up the retainer joint, and remove the retainer.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.





2. Install the washer in the direction shown.





3. Use pliers or the like to install the retainer on the pin securely.
4. Fill master cylinder with brake fluid.
5. Bleed the brake system. Service and Repair
