ACTION
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using WDS version B38.9 and higher or B39.1 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the B39 CD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
NOTE
THIS CALIBRATION UPDATE INCLUDES DIAGNOSTIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR P0231 (FP CIRCUIT), P2287 (ICP SENSOR INTERMITTENT CIRCUIT FAULT), P0470 (EXHAUST PRESSURE SENSOR), AND A REDUCED EGR ON-TIME DURING EXTENDED IDLE.
NOTE
IF P0488 REMAINS AFTER REPROGRAMMING, PERFORM NORMAL PC/ED DIAGNOSTICS. DIAGNOSTIC IMPROVEMENTS WERE MADE FOR P0488 AND THE PCM MAY NOW BE IDENTIFYING AN ACTUAL FAULT.
