PARTS RETENTION AND RETURN

Affected output shaft hubs (7D164) are subject to random selection for return to the Ford Warranty Parts Analysis Center (WPAC). Refer to your daily PEARS (Parts Evaluation and Return System) register for part disposition and return instructions.

Note:
The output shaft hub is the first point of contact by any reverse planet pinion shaft walk out and therefore may be needed for engineering analysis. If the output shaft hub removed from the transmission does not show any signs of damage it will be subject to a charge-back.

Follow the provisions of the Warranty and Policy Manual for "Parts Retention and Return Procedures."

EXCESS STOCK RETURN

Excess stock returned for credit must have been purchased from Ford Customer Service Division in accordance with Policy Procedure Bulletin 4000.
