Test A: Adjustable Brake Pedal Is Inoperative/Does Not Operate Correctly Non Memory
Pinpoint Test A: Adjustable Brake Pedal Is Inoperative/Does Not Operate Correctly Non MemoryNormal Operation
The adjustable pedal system uses a 2 way motor to rotate cables that move the brake and accelerator pedal assemblies toward or away from the driver. The adjustable pedal switch receives voltage at all times from circuit 490 (RD). When the adjustable pedal switch is pressed in the forward or rearward position, voltage flows through circuit 1492 (LB/RD) (forward) or circuit 1493 (PK/BK) (rearward) to the adjustable pedal motor. Grounds are provided through circuit 1205 (BK).
Possible Causes
^ circuit 490 (RD) open
^ circuit 1205 (BK) open
^ circuit 1492 (LB/RD) open, short to voltage, or short to ground
^ circuit 1493 (PK/BK) open, short to voltage, or short to ground
^ adjustable pedal obstruction
^ adjustable pedal cable(s)
^ adjustable pedal motor
