Normal Operation
The audio unit directs the audio signals to the THX(R) amplifier, which processes the audio signals and sends them to the speakers. Each speaker has a signal and return circuit.
DTC B1158 - sets when an open is detected in the RH subwoofer circuit.
DTC B2913 - sets when an open is detected in the LH subwoofer circuit.
DTC B2925 - sets when a short to ground or voltage is detected in the LH subwoofer circuit.
DTC B292A - sets when a short to ground or voltage is detected in the RH subwoofer circuit.
DTC B2965 - sets when an open, a short to ground, or a short to voltage is detected in the front door or rear door speaker circuits. The following should also be noted:
- When the DTC is set by the audio unit, the fault can be isolated to the circuitry between the audio unit and the THX(R) amplifier.
- When the DTC is set by the THX(R) amplifier, the fault can be isolated to the circuitry between the THX(R) amplifier and the speakers.
- The audio unit does not check for opens.
