Normal Operation
The driver seat module (DSM) receives a key out command and a transmission range selection of park over the MS-CAN communication network and powers the memory driver seat rearward about 2 inches. When the ignition key is inserted, the memory driver seat goes back to its last known position.

Possible Causes
An inoperative/not operating correctly easy exit/easy entry seat can be caused by:
- wiring, terminals or connectors.
- easy exit/easy entry not enabled.
- a faulty key-in-ignition warning switch.
- a faulty smart power distribution junction box (SPDJB).
- a faulty transmission range sensor.
- a faulty instrument cluster module.
- a faulty driver seat module (DSM).
