R1 : PRELIMINARY DIAGNOSIS FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P2623
NOTE: This DTC does not set during crank mode
- Carry out a visual inspection.
- Retrieve and record all DTCs
- Record the freeze frame data
- Clear the DTCs.
- Carry out the KOEO and KOER self-test. Quick Test Description
- Is DTC P2623 present?
-----------------------------------------------
R2 : CHECK THE IPR SOLENOID RESISTANCE
- Ignition OFF.
- IPR Solenoid connector disconnected.
- Measure the resistance between:
- Is the resistance between 3 Ohm - 15 Ohm?
-----------------------------------------------
R3 : CHECK THE IPR SOLENOID VOLTAGE
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
- Measure the voltage between:
- Is the voltage greater than 10.5 V?
-----------------------------------------------
R4 : CHECK THE IPR CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO POWER
- Ignition OFF.
- PCM connector disconnected.
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
- Measure the voltage between:
- Is any voltage indicated?
-----------------------------------------------
R5 : CHECK THE IPR CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Ignition OFF.
- Measure the resistance between:
- Is the resistance greater than 10 kOhm?
-----------------------------------------------
R6 : CHECK THE IPR CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance between:
- Is the resistance less than 5 Ohm?
-----------------------------------------------
R7 : CHECK FOR CORRECT PCM OPERATION
- Disconnect all the PCM connectors.
- Visually inspect for:
- pushed out pins
- corrosion
- Connect all the PCM connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
- Carry out the PCM self-test and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
