Test: AC: On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) Systems Readiness Test Not Complete
PINPOINT TEST AC: ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) SYSTEMS READINESS TEST NOT COMPLETEFlow Chart:
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- drive conditions not satisfied
- keep alive memory (KAM) cleared
--------------------------------------
AC1 : DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P1000
NOTE: If the voltage to the powertrain control module (PCM) is disconnected, DTC P1000 is set until the OBD monitors have run and cleared
- DTC P1000 indicates that the operating conditions have not been satisfied for all of the OBD monitors to run
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
- Carry out the self-test.
- Are any DTCs present other than P1000?
--------------------------------------
AC2 : CARRY OUT THE DIESEL DRIVE CYCLE TEST
- Carry out the diesel drive cycle test. Refer to Diagnostic Methods, Drive Cycles Drive Cycles
- Is the P1000 cleared?
---------------------------------------
AC3 : VERIFY CERTAIN OPERATING CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN SATISFIED
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
- Access the PCM and monitor the EOT PID.
- Access the PCM and monitor the VPWR PID.
- Access the PCM and monitor the GPCTM PID.
- If the vehicle is started and the EOT is less than 55°C (131°F), VPWR must be between 11.5 and 14 volts until the glow plug duty cycle is 0%
- Access the PCM and monitor the MFDES PID.
- Access the PCM and monitor the RPM PID.
- Operate the engine at full load. At full load the MFDES must be greater than 37 mg/stroke for at least 12 seconds with the engine speed greater than 2,300 RPM
- Access the PCM and monitor the MFDES PID.
- Allow the engine to idle at the normal operating temperature. The MFDES must be less than 12 mg/stroke for at least 12 seconds
- With the above conditions met, is the P1000 cleared?
