AP1 : PRELIMINARY DIAGNOSIS FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P2289
- Retrieve and record all DTCs
- Record the freeze frame data
- Clear the DTCs.
- Carry out the KOEO self-test. Quick Test Description
- Is DTC P2289 present?
-----------------------------------------------
AP2 : DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P2289
- Ignition OFF.
- ICP Sensor connector disconnected.
- PCM connector disconnected.
- Measure the resistance between:
- Is the resistance less than 5 Ohm?
-----------------------------------------------
AP3 : CHECK THE SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
- Measure the voltage between:
- Is any voltage indicated?
-----------------------------------------------
AP4 : CHECK THE ICP SENSOR
- Ignition OFF.
- ICP Sensor connector connected.
- PCM connector connected.
- Ignition ON, engine OFF.
- Access the PCM and monitor the ICP PID.
- Is the voltage between 0.15 V - 0.35 V?
-----------------------------------------------
AP5 : CHECK FOR CORRECT PCM OPERATION
- Disconnect all the PCM connectors.
- Visually inspect for:
- pushed out pins
- corrosion
- Connect all the PCM connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
- Carry out the PCM self-test and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
