ISSUE
Some 2010 Transit Connects vehicles built on or before 6/6/2010 and equipped with Bluetooth Speech Recognition Module (SRM), may exhibit a loss of voice control functionality in cold ambient temperature below 0 degrees Celsius (32 Fahrenheit). The system may fail to work when the vehicle is started, but resume function as the vehicle is driven and the ambient temperature around the module has warmed up in cold ambient temperature above 4 degrees Celsius (39 Fahrenheit).
ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
Replace the SRM module, refer to Workshop Manual, Section 415-00.
WARRANTY STATUS: Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage Warranty/ESP coverage limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. Warranty/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.
