Driver Seat Module (DSM)













Removal and Installation

NOTICE: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.

NOTE: Prior to the replacement of the module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the appropriate scan tool. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation. For additional information, refer to Information Bus.

1. NOTE: This step is necessary only if the Driver Seat Module (DSM) is being replaced.

Upload the module configuration information from the DSM (Driver Seat Module) into the scan tool. For additional information, refer to Information Bus.

2. NOTE: If the driver seat can be moved to a high enough position, the DSM (Driver Seat Module) screws can be easily accessed and removed without removing the driver seat.

If necessary, remove the driver seat.

3. Remove the 2 screws.

4. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the DSM (Driver Seat Module).

5. NOTE: If installing a new DSM (Driver Seat Module), make sure to download the DSM (Driver Seat Module) configuration information from the scan tool into the new DSM (Driver Seat Module).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
