IN COLD AMBIENT TEMPERATURES - BUILT ON OR
BEFORE 3/3/2011

ISSUE
Some 2011 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX vehicles built on or before 3/3/2011 may exhibit the reverse camera image intermittently being displayed upside down in ambient temperatures of 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit) or below.

ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure to correct the concern.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Using an IDS scan tool, check the Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) for DTCs.

a. If DTCs are present, do not continue with this article. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-13 for normal diagnostics.

b. If DTCs are not present, proceed to Step 2.

2. Replace the rear video camera. Refer to WSM, Section 413-13
