Daytime Running Lamps (DRL)

Principles of Operation

The Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) are controlled by using ignition switched voltage through the headlamp switch to the DRL relay. When the ignition is in RUN, the DRL relay is energized. Voltage is provided through a resistor wire to the low beams, illuminating them at a reduced intensity.
