Principles of Operation
Front Fog Lamps
The Central Junction Box (CJB) provides voltage to the headlamp switch when the ignition is in RUN. When the headlamp switch is placed in the PARKING LAMPS or HEADLAMPS ON position and the knob is pulled to the second detent, the headlamp switch provides voltage to the front fog lamp relay coil (and to the rear fog lamps). Voltage is provided to the front fog lamps when the front fog lamp relay energizes.
Rear Fog Lamps
NOTE: If the vehicle is not equipped with front fog lamps, the second detent is not available. When the fog lamp switch is pulled to the first detent, voltage is provided to the rear fog lamps.
The Central Junction Box (CJB) provides voltage to the headlamp switch for the rear fog lamp functionality. When the headlamp switch is placed in the PARKING LAMPS or HEADLAMPS ON position and the knob is pulled to the second detent, the headlamp switch provides voltage to the rear fog lamps.
