POWER WINDOW SQUEAK/SQUEAL NOISE FROM
OUTER DOOR BELT MOULDING - CHROME TRIM

ISSUE
Some 2011-2012 Flex vehicles equipped with chrome finish door outer belt mouldings may experience a squeak/squeal type noise during power window operations. Typical complaint is noise from the driver side front door window.
ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Open and close the four (4) door windows. Do any of the door outer belt moulding(s) exhibit a squeak/squeal noise?
a. Yes Squeak/squeal heard from the door outer belt moulding(s), proceed to Step 2.
b. No - This procedure does not apply, follow Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-00 for normal diagnostics.
2. Replace the belt moulding only on the door(s) exhibiting the squeak/squeal noise.
a. The outer belt moulding can be removed by gently lifting up from the outer door panel. Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 501-08 (exploded view).
