Washer Pump and Reservoir
Removal and Installation
1. Remove the washer reservoir cap from the washer reservoir.
2. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
3. Remove the RH front fender splash shield.
4. Remove the 2 RH reinforcement bracket-to-fender bolts and the 2 RH reinforcement bracket-to-body bolts.
5. Remove the RH fender reinforcement bracket.
- Detach the wire harness pin-type retainer.
6. Disconnect the washer pump electrical connector, washer fluid level sensor electrical connector and RH fog lamp electrical connector, if equipped.

NOTE: To prevent spilling washer fluid, drain the washer reservoir before removal.
Disconnect the washer pump hoses.
8. Remove the 2 washer reservoir nuts and the washer reservoir bolt.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
9. Remove the washer reservoir from the vehicle.
10. NOTICE: Do not operate the washer pump prior to filling the washer reservoir. Failure to follow this instruction may result in premature washer pump failure.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill the washer reservoir with washer fluid.
