Interior - Front Seat Heaters Don't Get Warm Enough

WARM ENOUGH TEMPERATURE - BUILT ON OR

ISSUE
Some 2013 Flex vehicles equipped with dual front heated seats and built on or before 11/9/2012 may exhibit the condition of front heated seats not achieving a warm enough temperature.

ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Using the Ford Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) start a new IDS session.

2. ID the vehicle; select the tool box at the vehicle screen.

a. Select - Module Programming.

b. Select - As-built.

c. Select - HVAC.

d. At the screen: Were you directed here from another procedure? Select - no.

e. At the screen: This function resets configuration data. Select - continue.

f. At the screen you have 2 options:

(1) If connected to internet, select - automatic.

(2) If not connected to internet select - manual.

g. Follow any additional screen prompts.

WARRANTY STATUS: Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage Warranty/ESP coverage limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. Warranty/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.
