An inoperative cigar lighter or ash tray lamp may be caused by the 14401 wire harness being damaged by a flange located behind the ash tray. Use the following procedure to repair any damaged wires and cover the harness with a section of heater hose to prevent future damage.
1. Remove the radio and ash tray.
2. Repair the shorted wires as required.

3. Split a 3" x 5/8" I.D. heater hose and slip it over the wire harness as shown in Figure 10. Tape the heater hose into place with electrical tape.
