Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview







1. Verify the vehicle owner's original concern by operating the anti-lock brakes to duplicate the vehicle owner's concern.
2. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply.

Mechanical Electrical

Low brake fluid Blown fuse(s):

Damaged front brake anti-lock - 10A ELECTRON IGN

sensor indicator/ rear brake - 15A STOP LAMP

anti-lock sensor - 10A METER

Damaged front brake anti-lock Blown anti-lock indicator lamp

sensor/ rear brake anti-lock bulb.

sensor indicator Damaged wiring harness.

Damaged brake lines. Loose or corroded connection.

Damaged wheel bearings.

3. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
