ISSUE:
Some vehicles may exhibit a "growling" noise and/or vibration when the clutch pedal is depressed or released at 3500 RPM's or more.
ACTION:
Install an isolator/damper assembly to the clutch release lever. Refer to the following service procedure.
1. Using an assistant to depress the clutch pedal, raise the vehicle and remove the clutch release lever dust shield.
2. Have an assistant depress the clutch pedal fully to the floor and hold it down.
3. While the clutch pedal is depressed, install the isolator/damper assembly (F4ZZ-7C530-A) from the rear at the cable end of the lever.
4. Place the stud from the isolator/damper assembly through the existing hole in the release lever.
5. Have the assistant release the clutch. Install the retaining nut to the stud and torque to 20-25 N-m (14-18 lb.ft.).
6. Reinstall clutch release lever dust shield.
