Power Steering Pressure Switch: Service and Repair
Power Steering Pump Pressure Switch:
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the power steering pressure switch electrical connector.
3. Remove the power steering pressure switch.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: Install a new O-ring and lubricate it with power steering fluid.
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Tighten the power steering pressure switch to 17-23 Nm (12-17 ft lb).
NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn the adaptive strategy.
