Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview







1. Verify the customer's original concern by operating the anti-lock brakes to duplicate the condition.
2. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

Mechanical Electrical

Low brake fluid. Blown fuse(s):

Damaged front brake anti-lock - 60A Main ABS

sensor indicator/ rear brake - 10A ABS System

anti-lock sensor. - 10A Cluster

Damaged front brake anti-lock Blown anti-lock indicator lamp

sensor/ rear brake anti-lock bulb.

sensor indicator. Damaged wiring harness.

Damaged brake lines. Loose or corroded connection.

Damaged wheel bearings.

3. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
