Special Field Action 95L06 - Vehicle Emissions Control Information (VECI) Labels on Certain 1995 Model Federal and California 5.0L Engine Equipped Mustang Cars

Affected Vehicles
1995 Model Federal, California and Massachusetts Mustangs (except Cobra) equipped with 5.0L engines built from start of 1995 Model production through January 13, 1995. Mustangs are built at the Dearborn Assembly Plant.

Reason For This Action
The vacuum schematic portion of the Vehicle Emissions Control Information (VECI) label may not be correct for the engines in the affected cars. These labels are important to the servicing of the cars, government inspection and in-use emissions testing and, possibly, vehicle registration.

Service Action
Owners of the affected cars will be mailed new labels with instructions to attach them over the existing labels. They will be given the option to have dealers install the labels.
