Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

NOTE: Look for problems in other areas that may affect the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) (suspension and steering components, tire integrity and air pressure, wheel bearings, and brake components that are common to all brake systems).

1. Verify concern by driving the vehicle.
2. If all systems and components are satisfactory, proceed with the visual inspection and then proceed to the ABS Quick Test. Quick Check/Symptom Tests

NOTE: The hydraulic anti-lock actuator assembly is non-serviceable, nor can it be pressure checked. If any of its components fail, it must be replaced as a complete unit.

3. Visually inspect the following components of the anti-lock brake system.
