Refrigerant Oil Addition






NOTE: A new service replacement compressor contains 6.78 oz of refrigerant oil.

When replacing system components, add or drain the following quantities of refrigerant oil:
- Condenser: add 1.0 oz.
- Accumulator: same amount drained from old accumulator plus 1 oz.
- Evaporator core: 1.0 oz.
- Add 1 oz of new oil following refrigerant line replacement.
- Add 2 oz of new oil following minor repairs such as O-ring, port, compressor shaft seal and hose leaks.

COMPRESSOR
1. Drain and measure oil from old compressor.
2. Drain oil from new compressor into clean measuring device.
3. Install equal amount plus 0.676 oz of new oil to compressor.
