1996 Taurus SHO cars built from Job # 1 through 7/19/96 at the Atlanta Assembly Plant.

Reasons For Recall
On some of these cars, the fuel pressure regulator diaphragm may rupture. Should this occur, fuel leakage or engine damage could result. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source could potentially result in a fire.

To correct this condition, the fuel pressure regulator is to be inspected and, if necessary, replaced.
