Water Bypass Tube

REMOVAL
1. Drain cooling system.
2. Remove engine air cleaner. Refer to Powertrain Management.
3. Remove accelerator control splash shield.
4. Disconnect accelerator cable and speed control actuator cable from the throttle body lever.
5. Remove accelerator cable bracket from throttle body and position out of the way.
6. Disconnect coolant hoses to water outlet tube.
7. Remove four bolts and remove water outlet tube.

INSTALLATION
1. Lubricate water outlet tube O-rings with Premium Cooling System Fluid E2FZ-19549-AA or-B in Oregon, F5FZ-19549-CC, in Canada, CXC-8-B, Recycled Coolant, or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A.
2. Install four water outlet tube bolts and tighten to 8-12 Nm (71-106 inch lbs.).
3. Connect coolant hoses to water outlet tube. Position clamps securely.
4. Install two accelerator cable bracket bolts and tighten to 8-12 Nm (71-106 inch lbs.).
5. Connect accelerator cable and speed control actuator cable to the throttle body lever.
6. Install accelerator control splash shield. Tighten screws securely.
7. Install engine air cleaner.
8. Fill and bleed coolant.
