1. Remove the snow shield from the throttle body, if so equipped.





2. On vehicles that have not been disabled, disconnect the speed control cable from the throttle body cam or accelerator cable. See Figure 1.

3. Disconnect the speed control cable from the accelerator bracket.

4. Disconnect the speed control cable from all routing clips.





5. Disconnect and remove the speed control cable from the speed control servo. See Figure 2. It may be necessary to reposition the servo to remove the cable.

6. Connect a new speed control cable to the speed control servo.

7. Connect the speed control cable to all routing clips.

8. Connect the speed control cable to accelerator bracket.

9. Connect the speed control cable to the throttle body cam or accelerator cable.

10. Adjust the speed control cable, if applicable, as follows:





^ Remove the adjusting clip from the cable housing. See Figure 3.

^ Cycle the throttle body cam 2-3 times to remove all slack from the speed control cable. Make sure the throttle plate is fully closed with slack removed from the speed control cable.

^ Back off the cable housing one (1) notch. See Figure 3.

^ Insert the adjusting clip into the cable housing. The speed control cable must not be pulled tight for proper operation.

11. Install the snow shield on the throttle body if so equipped.
