Automatic Transmission/Transaxle: Application and ID

The upper portion of the Vehicle Certification (VC) label contains the manufacturer name, the month and year of manufacture, the certification statement and the VIN. It also includes Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings. The VC label is located on the left-hand front door jamb.

The transmission/transaxle codes are:
^ E - 4 - speed automatic.
^ W - 5 - speed manual.





To identify the F4E-III transmission, refer to the identification tag located on top of the transmission case.
