Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc: Application and ID

The upper portion of the Vehicle Certification (VC) label contains the manufacturer name, the month and year of manufacture, the certification statement and the VIN. It also includes Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings (GVWR). The VC label is located on the left-hand front door jamb.







Radio Codes
The radio type codes are:
^ 9 - Mid-line AM/FM stereo with cassette and clock.
^ 8 - Premium AM/FM stereo with cassette, clock and premium sound system.
^ 8 - Mach 460 premium AM/FM stereo with cassette, clock and sub-woofer sound system.
^ 1 - Premium AM/FM stereo with compact disc, clock and premium sound system.
