Normal Operation
The remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter sends a radio frequency command to the generic electronic module (GEM). This command is accompanied by an RKE transmitter identification code (TIC). The TIC must match the TIC stored in the GEM. When the TIC is validated as good the GEM activates the control circuits for the parking lamps and horn supplying a audible and visual alarm.
