Normal Operation
Under normal operation, voltage is supplied to the function selector switch through circuit 29-FA13 (OG). When A/C is requested, voltage is sent to the dual-function pressure switch through circuit 15S-FA38 (GN/RD). Voltage is sent to the A/C cycling switch from the dual-function pressure switch through circuit 15S-FA17 (GN/OG). Voltage is sent to the powertrain control module (PCM) from the A/C cycling switch through circuit 15S-RE8 (GN/YE). When the PCM commands the A/C relay ON, the PCM provides ground to the relay coil through 31S-FA11 (BK/YE). Voltage is supplied to the relay through circuit 15-FA11 (GN/YE). Voltage is supplied to the relay switch through circuit 30-FA12 (RD/BU). When the relay is energized, voltage is sent to the A/C clutch coil through circuit 15S-FA6 (GN/YE). The A/C clutch coil is grounded through circuit 31-FA6 (BK).

Possible Causes
- An open in circuit 29-FA13 (OG), 15S-FA38 (GN/RD), 15S-FA17 (GN/OG), 15S-RE8 (GN/YE), 31S-FA11 (BK/YE), 15-FA11 (GN/YE), 30-FA12 (RD/BU), 15S-FA6 (GN/YE) or 31-FA6 (BK)
- A short to voltage in circuit 31S-FA11 (BK/YE)
- Function selector switch
- A/C dual-function pressure switch
- A/C cycling switch
- A/C control relay
- Powertrain control module (PCM)
- A/C compressor clutch
- A/C clutch air gap
